I went to the new Margarita's restaurant that opened in the old Los Compandres building on Maury. The decor really has not changed since it was the bar. The menu kind of surprised me, it had a lot of seafood options and was quite large. Warning, you won't find your typical combo meals here, like with most of the Mexican restaunts in town. I opted for the shrimp diablo. This meal came with about 20 nice shrimp in a tasty and somewhat spicy read sauce. My dining companions opted for the steak tacos. They are similar to type you get at taco truck. I got to sample and they were good. Why the two star rating? The service was terrible. I had to request the tortillas that were to come with my meal. I was given a side salad but no dressing. We had to go to the bar to get another drink. Our waitress couldn't hardly speak English and I had to go to bar again at the end of our meal to pay. I may go back again because I enjoyed the food and If I get better service I will adjust rating.
